Wish I could get motivated anough to finish up my install. New bezel, Sirius tuner, and another sub came in today. Uber slacker.

On a brighter note, your install is looking real good. Keep up the good work.

Could have used plexiglass but I used something much easier to work with and that I had readily available. I cannibalized a old VHS tape box (was about an 1/8" thick). Cut it with my sheetmetal cutters, made the 2" hole with the hole saw, drilled the four corners.....done. It is very sturdy with the tweeter mounted on it.

Got to go outside and wrap it up.......can not wait to pump the first bit of music.....always the best part of the installation, the rewards.

I did the same thing with one of the little sheets of plastic (plexiglass?) that they sell in the storm door/window aisle at Home Depot.

ITS ALIVE>>>>>>>ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well when it is all said and done it took me about 4 weeks instead to one but well worth the work and wait. I have to say that even without the Polks being broke in yet that it sounds awesome. It is LOUD!!!!!!! Louder than in my last vehicle, 01 Honda Accord Coupe. Still need time the program my SWIX and tweak on the system (learning curve involved with new Alpine deck...which it is the best HU I have ever owned). The fans work perfectly.....will have to tweak on the mounting of the pull-fan. I doubt my amps will ever get hot to the touch. Plus after I am finished tweaking on the amps I will need to put the end caps and link on.

I will be sure to take a lot of pics this coming weekend once I have a chance to give the TITAN a proper cleaning inside and out and also treat it to a coat of REJEX.

Have a good one!

dude, i am in awe!

seriously, i'm at the point of speechless.

i just wished you lived here in Houston so i could hear this system. actually, that wouldn't do it justice, because i dont have the ears to appreciate it, er i have ears but not that type for such music quality.

great job!

Motivation is tough......I was getting tired of working on the install but I kept telling myself "your almost finished".

PIC1
The charging resistor that I used to charge up my capacitor.

PIC2
The capacitor showing its first signs of life.

PIC3&4
Battery terminals and fuse holder.

Proud to report that everything is working great. Plus I have no dimming of the lights!!!!!!!!!!!! A huge plus!

Got the time to clean the interior in preperation for my upcoming vacation and took some pics.

These five are of the system and the last one is the switch I have wired up front for the fans. Have a good one!

Congratulations titanse05!!! You have done on HELL of a professional install!! Like my other friends from Tx I would love to be able to hear it!! Stereo installs sure have come a long way over the past 25 years!! And thanks for sharing the install pics - very interesting even for those of us not headed down that road!! I think that is one of the BEST aspects of this website is the sharing of pics from mods!! Ah yes, technology!! Once again - one HELL of a job!! Peace.
