Titanse05,

Did you keep track of how much edead it took to do the whole truck? I'm trying to figure out how much to order. I was thinking of 60 ft^2 each the V1 and the V1SE should cover it. I think I want to do a single layer of the V1SE on the floor/back wall/firewall/roof, and do the doors on the inner and outer skin with the regular V1. Maybe 80ft^2 of the V1SE and 40ft^2 for the doors?

Thanks,

Mitch

If it helps at all, I used 200 sq ft of Bquiet to do the doors and floor, and I could have used some more.

An update.......

Well I just wanted to give everyone an update to what I have been doing. I just made and installed 1/0 gauge ground cables under the hood. Will post pics in a seperate thread once I am finished.

Also, I have decided to upgrade the front speakers to Dayton drivers and I am going to make my own custom passive crossovers. Updates to come!

Yeah, Dylan's a very intelligent and very helpful guy. I bought the schematic from him that goes with the Dayton drivers. I am getting my speakers and crossover components from partsexpress tomorrow. I can't wait!

Yeah, that's the main reason that I am putting it together myself.

Plus I will save about $80 by doing it myself.

titanse05, that is a killer job of installing your stuff....i know that space is tight in the TITAN when it comes to aftermarket stereo equip, but i was suprised that you have your sub "out there." what was your reasoning on this? that sub just seems so exposed and potentially in harms way. im not hacking, actually quite the opposite, im just wondering. really nice job.

In harms way it what aspect? From stuff getting infront of the sub and damaging it?

The reason I put it in there this way was that it was the only way that I could install the system that I have in the TITAN.

Here are my Passive Crossovers with the components mounted on the board. Got to solder it all together and I am putting a plexiglass cover on the top. Getting excited......want to see what these Dayton drivers are all about.

Some bad news.......I think that my front left channel is going out of my Fosgate amp. Will have to get that repaired before I install the Daytons.
