My Installation..lots of pics

Well the opportunity has presented itself so the stereo equipment is making it into the month old TITAN this week.

DAY 1.....

PIC1 & 2
Carpeted amplifier box, which is going under the back seat and housing my two amps and capacitor. Notice the grooves on the underside of the box to allow the wire to not be crushed between the driveshaft hump and bottom of box.

PIC3
Covered the inside of the sub box with eDead SE.

PIC4
Carpeted the sub box, which is going between the rear seat passangers on the floor. Installed the sub in the box. Ready to ROCK.

No PIC
Installed the amps on the amp rack.

Tomorrow.....tear interior out and get ready to eDead SE the doors.

Day 2 Progress....

Well.....not much interest so far in my post....
But I will keep posting.

Day 2 update

PIC 1
The interior in now part of the exterior.

PIC 2
New rear wall layout with power window. For other crazy people like me that are in the planning stages.

PIC 3
Naked floor

PIC 4
1/0 gauge running through the firewall on the drivers side right above the hood popper handle cable. There was an existing 1/2" dia. hole that I enlarged with a 1" hole saw. The grommet is a Stinger.

Thoughts so far.......so much more work to do.
1. The center console didn't want to come out. But after some patience it came out. I will post detailed directions on how to remove it once this week is over.

2. There is no way that I could run the power wire through the passanger's side firewall due to the air filtration system. Glad I found a place to run it on the driver's side. Driver's side is the best place to run power wire in 05 SE CC IMO.

Tomorrow I will install eDead SE on the floor, rear wall, and firewall
Tear out the factory radio
Install the ALPINE and SWIX
Finish laying out the wiring.
And hopefully get the interior reinstallation started.

Will have 10 un-interrupted hours.

Till tomorrow....

(Mr. Titan Interior Tearer Upper)
For most people, 10 factory speakers inside one car is more than enough sound to keep to yourself
(rocking Rockford Fosgate)
In the interest of even better sound quality, you rip out the entire interior of a new car, insulating the floor and walls to keep all that sound to yourself
(eDead everywhere)
Some people make noise just to be heard, but you go to extremes just to hear your own noise
(drowning in your own sound waves)
So crack open an ice cold Bud Light O Pioneer of Pioneers
Because when someone asks "who installed your system?", you can proudly say "Me", and when they ask why your seats are crooked, you can turn up the volume
(Mr. Titan Interior Tearer Upper)

Good job with the install. It looks like things are going well, and we all can't wait to see the finished product, and hear how it sounds.

Good luck with the rest of the install!

Can you explain why you put B_Quiet in the sub's box? Won't that reduce it's output considerably? I have sceen it on the outside of the boxes but never on the inside.

That's funny........but some people aren't content with inferior factory stereos. Besides, I like doing it....

No pics today.....more for tomorrow.....not enough time in the day.

Got the rear wall matted and got the floor started. Will be sure to post pics.

More thoughts.....
Damn it took a long azz time to do the back wall. Around 7 hours and around 30 bolts later.....

Will finish floor tomorrow and run the rest of the wires. LATER
