xm install question

at one point i remember someone posting a detailed post with pics on how do to the factory XM install. i'm thinking about getting it now, and and wondering if it's a task i can handle on my own, or if i'm going to have to have the dealer do it and pay more money...

also, there was something about having to have the head unit modified, and there would be a sticker if it had been...does this make sense?

i searched the archives and didn't find it, but i could have missed it. if anyone knows the links, i'd appreciate it...thanks.

Critter . . . This weekend I installed the OEM Sirius receiver using the knee bolster method you see in the link, above. You plug it (or XM) into the N Bus cable found under the dash. No head unit mods are needed. The only other receiver plug-in is the antenna. I got the Sigma antenna (works only with Sirius) that adheres to the inside of the windshield. Got all this from Jamie at TitanParts247 for $358 shipped. The piggyback brackets were included. Anyone who's installed the receiver using them has my profound respect.
