In my opinion your best option would be to get the center console bezel with double din opening from courtesyparts.com and then find the metra dash kit part number 99-7405. If you dont want the bezel from courtesy nissan, metra also makes a bezel (99-7406) that is better than the other brands. Good luck with your decision.

I second the center console from parts dept. The XE dash kit and the Metra or Scosche double din adapter. Wiring adapter is easily available from any WallyWorld. The Scosche dash kit does not latch securely and you have to carve a niche for the Hazard flasher to fit back in. Best of Luck.

Does anyone make an aftermarket CD changer head unit that will fit the dash and will work with my steering wheel controls? I like having the features of then stock HU but it sucks!! Dealer has replaced it once, and the new one sucks more.

There is a kit sold aftermarket that uses an IR adapter to make soem or most of your steering wheel controls work. Check with a local shop about "double din" stereos as far as getting one to fit the opening. Best of Luck. Somewhere on here is the name of the IR adapter, and my memory is too short to thinkk of the name to do a search for you. I am sure one of the more learned members will quickly reply.

I just asked these exact same questions I htink they are still on this same page. Try doing a search for PAC-SWI-X and metra install kit. I just posted about the best place to locate these items.

for the PAC-SWIX check out ebay.
