Does anybody have a fix for the horrible noise the xbox brings into the audio system. In my last car as soon as I powered up the xbox you could hear engine loop, now after installing a diff xbox in my truck I get the same results. I have done some searching and everybody agrees the xbox is just noisy.
Has anyone here had any luck getting rid of the noise?
I guess it depends upon how the signal is routed to the head unit. Most problems occur when the aux source is grounded to a different location than the main source. The difference in potential can cause noise problems. Connecting a ground wire between the two points can do wonders.
Cheap power inverters don't do much to help the situation.
You are going to hear the same noise in the headphone. As suggested keep all grounding to one spot and also try not to run any RCA next to a power line. These are all points for stereo installation but it might help with game console.

Its not the vehicle that does it, I remember when I was trouble shooting this in my car, I plugged the xbox into my garage, and didn't run the engine in the car and still had noise. Just hooking the xbox to my headunits inputs caused the problem.
I wish I still had some links from when I went thru this with my car but I remember the most people thought it was just the xbox has a crappy power supply. There was one guy who bought a new DC PS for his xbox and he claimed the problem went away.
Can you guys who don't have noise try something for me, go to your XBMC, or XBMP, or whatever program your using, and don't play any sound just so your xbox is "idleing" start your engine, close all the doors, crank the volume to max, and rev your engine.
Listen for some noise, if you can't hear it kill your engine and if you can notice a difference.
Are you guys running aftermarket amps? speakers? using ground loop isolators?
