Shorter Antenna??

I tried to get my titan into my garage and it turns out the antenna hits the garage door rubber seal - I doubt it will break anything, but it's flicking dirt every time (on the titan and the garage door and the camaro I have parked inside it).

I had the same problem with my F-150, which I traded on my Titan, but wound up just cutting that antenna down (it's was a 6 year old truck so wasn't that particular about it).

Rather not do that with a 2 week old truck. Anyone know if any of the other nissan antennas (i.e. on the Frontier or Armanda or even one of the infiniti's) are shorter and will just screw in place?

Has anyone swapped out a power antenna? I rather not go that route as they seem to fail after a few years - plus the additional expense of the mod (I just cut a check for the truck so cash will be tight for the next couple of months.

Great site - really like it - it was a big reason why I got the titan. I was nervous about the brake issue, but I saw all the TSB's as well as the aftermarket Brake info - so I figured the worst case scenario I would have to upgrade the brakes after I got tired of Nissan fixing it for the first 36 months.....

Look into billet antenna, they are shorter and better looking. I'm looking into one myself. There's a place online ( I have to go back and search) but if you buy a set of billet grill, you get free billet antenna.

Re: Shorter Antenna??

Did you ever find the website for the shorter billet antenna that you posted on previously? Was it stylin concepts by chance? Will a new antenna just screw on without an adapter?

Re: Shorter Antenna??

I just went to the local Advance Auto Parts and found some "Billet" antenna. It says billet but I doubt it's a real billet. Anyway for only $11 so I gave it a try. It comes with two female adapter, just chose the one that fit and screw on. Reception is good.

Yes he did but from what I understand he had to tap the screw to make it fit or something like that, it was not a direct bolt on. His look good though.
