12" LCD Monitor DDV player Installed in my CC

I wanted to put a 15" Monitor in my CC but it would'nt fit w/o major fabrication. Best Buy put this 12" by Directed in for me. It would'nt fill the console hole so it's bolted on the console which I was unsure of at first but I think it looks tight now. I didn't want the OEM one from Nissan cuz anything under 10" is hard to see and impossible to play xbox on, IMO.

I posted this so maybe other guys might wanna see other options other then the OEM LCD.

I like how they keep the factory overhead console. You can still use the rear controler. I got a 15" and yes that require some custom work for a trim. Also agree with aftermarket option, much cheaper for more product. Last picture was when I went back in and added the rear controller.

Damn, yours looks great!!! nice custom work

I didn't mind the custom work but I was quoted $1300 for the labor alone to do a 15" installed. Best Buy did mine(shown) for $100 labor.

yeah bull titan, you will have more options since you didn't have the console. the problem with the console is that the LCD will not fill the entire hole so like baseballfanz something would have to be custom fabricated.

But in your case you have nothing to fill so you get to choose and size monitor, i assume. Go bigger on the lcd. the all in one units like mine, are nicer since u don't have to stow the dvd player under a seat or somewhere.

$1300 for labor? That's steep. I think they quoted you that just so they didn't have to do it.

Yeap. I agree. It was in a shop in the OC(orange county) which is expensive. I am sure one of the ghetto LA tint/audio shops could do it cheaper but I dont trust those places, sleezy. how much did u pay for that custom job?

@blackbart

Did they use an FM modulator on your system? They use one on mine but I took it out and hook the sound up to factory harness. Sound is much better, also I can use the MODE button on steering wheel to cycle thru RADIO, CD, AUX,DVD, ECT....
GO HERE for how to hooking up to factory wires. Real easy, took me about 15 minutes to do.
