Isn't this what I just asked you the other day? I thought the answer was to just pop it out?

I need to remove mine also so I can get at the doors wiring harness to run my speaker wire tomarrow since that is the only change I will have for some time.

The black thing you are reffering to is a push pin, where you take a small flat head screwdriver and pop the head out from the washer, when you do this it contracts in size and you can pull it out.
Once the black pop-pin is out then you just pull the panel off.

Oh, that thing. What he said. The push-pin is on top of the panel toward the front of the truck. There is a clip toward the rear of the truck at the bottom witch seats in the sheet metal. Pull towards the center of the truck.
