Hey all. As the title states. I Am stuck. I cannot decide what I want to do with the stereo in my 2012 CC. I have the RF system, but I'm not too impressed. I want cleaner sound from my stereo, that is pretty much it. If I keep the stock unit, that is fine with, but I want to ensure I can get the great sound I am looking for. So, my options are....
1) keep the stock RF HU and get one of MBquart1's adapters to bypass the factory amps and I would install a 4-channel amp with new 6.5" components on all four corners with a new Tech12volt sub box and sub. I would be installing all new speaker wiring.
Or
2) Rip everything out and start new. Get a new Kenwood or Pioneer double-din HU, and install 6.5" components on all four corners. I would probably forgo the 4-channel amp on the components. I would also get the Tech12volt sub box and sub. All new speaker wiring would be installed as well. I bought a factory double-din radio bezel from a salvage yard off a 2010 S, so I already have the radio bezel.
So, what do ya'll think? I could use input from those who kept the stock RF HU and upgraded the rest of the system.
