Don't compromise on your front speakers.. If your willing to spend that kind of money then look into CDT, FOCAL, DLS, DYNAUDIO, BOSTON ACOUSTICS ( Z's or PRO'S), DIAMOND AUDIO ( HEX'S), AND MB QUART Q'S

I have to recommend ology audio for front components, $350 shipped will buy you a fantastic pair of speakers and still leave you plenty of room for a good 4 channel amp that you can bridge to a 3 channel amp and run a sub off of.

I have two pairs of those Polk's and I am happy with them. The tweeters are the best part (not harsh at high volume), but the midbass is a little lacking. I might eventually upgrade the front stage but for now I am enjoying it the way it is.

I'd suggest NO rear speakers, spend all your money on front comps and a 2 channel amp. And if you can seal up the front doors with sound deadener it will make them sound much better.

theres alot of options for $600!
DLS Iridiums and a 2 channel amp would fit that bill.
Hell I'm in love with mine. They are right up there with Dynaudio and Rainbow. Ology has good stuff too but it's a bit tricky install fitting the large tweeters. I am amazed the difference between my Kenwood Excelons and these I mean, not even close! Polks are ok, but you can do better.

You do realize you can't easily hook he OEM HU to an amp right? Your best bet to do this is probably the JL Cleansweep but that **** is expensive! There are other ways too IMO best bet is to ditch the stock HU and go with something many times better instead of finding a way to make it work.

I vote no rear speakers, I just added some Coaxils since I have the KC and I don't really care for the rear fill, I read up on rear fill which said basicaly not to do it, but I did anyways. I have them turned down so low I can't realy hear them anyways, but still better to spend yor money on the fronts.

I wanted them in the rear so I can fade all the way to the rear and crank up the HU since my doors open 168 degs, they are great for playing outside the truck without sucking my battery dry.
