Ology audio in the rear of my KC

I installed another pair of ology audio components in the rear of my KC today. The install is not very impressive because I didn't want to cut into my doors. I ended up mounting the tweets in front of the mids with plumbers strap.

The end result sounds great but looks kinda ugly. Hopefully I don't get any rattles

The reason I did high quality rears was for 5.1 dvd-audio which I find myself listening to alot lately.

Anyway here are plenty of pics, most really blurry.

Yeah the grill snapped back on, but I already ripped it apart. Everytime I shut my door the speaker rattled so I talked to the oldest guy I could find at ACE hardware, who pointed me to the plumbing section where I bought a pipe fitting that wrapped around the tweet and mounted to the inner ring of the door panel. And yes the grill still goes on over this as well. Now the tweeter is held in there very snug.

I just got done installing and went for some test drives listening for rattles and everything checked out OK.

Nope, this is the only time I have ever been glad that the rear windows don't go down. I had enough clearance with my 3/4" adapter ring.

It was actually really close to not fitting in the adapter ring. If you look in the photos the woofer and adapter ring are almost the same size.

LOL you still have not installed the DLS MS6's?

It's ok I still odn't have my Sub or Box or amp...Had to get Suspension for the ATV and damn those elka elite shocks, a-arms, brake lines, new stator are expensive...I thought shocks were expensive for the Titan!

Thanks for the pics that looks like a real PITA to install lol. Coaxil style should be fine for the rear especialy if you have T-align to help out. It's not like your going for imaging anyways just 5.1

Yeah it sounds great in 5.1, when I listen to sirius (which is crap quality by the way) or CDs or MP3s I fade to the front for imaging.

Haha, I cant install them yet! I don't have a head unit and from what I hear its not even worth installing speakers until I can get a new HU. I'm getting closer though. I'm gonna order my wiring kit, Fatmat, XE Bezel, Metra Bracket, and PAC this weekend. Then all I need is my HU to install the speakers. Of course I still won't be able to get an amp for a while

I would highly recommend elemental designs eDead sound deadening. It is a great product for a good price. It sticks very well to any surface, and doesn't make a hell of a mess while installing it.

I used edead. I did just the doors, and I wish I would have done the back wall where my amp is mounted.
