/// Interior Removal - Dynamat Install - 18 PICS ///

I took the entire interior out of the truck in about 5 hours last night. (By myself using HAND TOOLS lol!) So far this afternoon I have shoved some generic Dynamat all over the floor and I am getting ready to do the back wall and the doors next.s

A tip (from my recent experience): Take note of any holes for bolts, trim pieces, etc. I found they can be a b*tch to find afterwards!

Interesting. I had been wondering what the rear cab wall looked like with the electric window.

Any idea of how many square feet you used? I ordered 50 to do 4 doors of a kc and the rear wall and rear floor area. If I have any left, I may do the rest of the floor like you did.

I had 62 sq ft of mat. I put 2 on the sub box. After covering the floor, rear wall and around the speakers - I may have enough to do it all. If not, I'm going tob e only 5-10 sq ft short.

SO... I'd say 70 sq ft would do the floor, rear wall and 4 doors - but probably not my 62 or your 50.

ADDED: The back doors are 2' x 2.5' and the front doors are 2' x 3'. That puts you at about 22 square feet for all 4 doors

Here are some updated pics - Going to mat the doors some more after the back wall - just wasn't sure how much I would have leftover.

And yes, I keep all the leftover strips and reuse them on the back wall

just to help you out so you dont think you wasted all that time once you get it all back together

72 ft will not be enough to do the entire truck--nooo way

all four doors (will need one roll by themselves) assuming you go inside and out, double layered as the door metal is VERY thin--if highly recommend you go all the way up to the window on the inside and all the way to the corners as high as you can reach as the top of the doors resonate a lot once you throw some power in the doors

do the outide and SEAL all the large holes as best you can

some use a big peice of amt on the inside and outside (stuck together in the middle of the hole) and some use liquid deadener

yours doors should be so heavy that you barely have to touch them to get them to close all the way

and as far as the back wall, it needs at least two layers, as that is where most of the body noise and exhaust will come from

thought id help------------

two questions though

1)what type of mat is that? Ive never seen the blue before?
2) why did you have to remove the door on the passenger dash compartment?

and very nice pics by the way
