Sirius install/connect options - through DVD connections?

I have the starmate replay. Using RF for now - but want to connect for cleaner sound. Tried the AUX and the output from the line out is too low without additional p.i.e or other booster. Also, would like it to be clean and not use the AUX which I am running my ipod through.

Could the dvd connections on the back be used? Is it a standard L/R rca connect? (and does it have a line level input adjust?) Or - something with a proprietary connect like the n-bus for the factory satelite?

Would be great to have a clean install option that works better for this unit than the front AUX... Thanks in advance!

According to the SM, there are no standard connectors for the DVD. Just wired up like the rest of the speakers are (RH, LH, +/-.)

There is a PAC adapter which uses the satellite radio connector on the Fosgate and mid-line radios to provide two auxillary inputs. It sells for approx $100.

How much clearer do you think it will get? I cannot notice any difference in the sound from the radio vs. the signal coming from the Starmate Replay.

other options?

Does the SkyFi or Sportster have the same problem as the Starmate?

You can convert the line to RCA connector. If your Starmate have RCA outs than you can simply plug into the DVD wire.
Here's a how to by "llajumpvid" to make an RCA input for the factory harness.
