For those with HID's

Anyone with HID lights getting any feedback into their electrical systems?

Maybe they create Noise in the audio?

I installed a set on my ATV and it's Burning up my expensive Custom 3 watt LED's Blew about $50 worth so far from the HID's... Seems if I leave them on too long and the battery drains, that the HID will shut off, which causes feedback to the battery which takes out sensitive electronics.

Without HID's everything runs fine.

I was just wondering if anyone with HID's and a Sterio system noticed any noise from the feedback from the HID ballast.

Re: For those with HID's

well I was thinking about putting the same HID's on my ATV on my truck (4 of them) They are pretty slick (MR16 Size) so the unsuspecting would never guess how bright these lights could be lol. For such a small light they are much brighter than the titans highbeams

Fuses won't protect LED's not even quick blow fuses, and 3 watt LED's are not your typical superbright LED, yu can see 2 red ones and 2 blue ones in my Avitar on my quad... I'm jsut wondering how many others get bad feedback from their HID's from what I have been reading it is VERY common yet I have not found info for solutions anywhere online.

I would imagine it would also create Noise in a sterio system.

Re: For those with HID's

what about a diode? the purpose is to provide a 1 way current flow. I couldn't tell you the size but I'm guessing the same that installers use to wire alarms.

Re: For those with HID's

the only noise i get is from the ballast only during the first 2 seconds of turn-on. after that, the high pitched sound goes away. other than that, i get no noise through my electrical system. i have my HIDs hooked up with relays if that makes a difference.
