Update on Aux input for Titan

I've been looking for one to add my Starmate Sat radio and I-pod to my headunit. Well PAC makes one the AAI-NIS for Nissan. Here's the reply's I just got from them yesterday and today. For those that don't know what this is, it plugs in to the input that the overpriced factory Sat radio would plug into on the headunit. And works from the steering wheel controls. And allows input of two items that you can toggle between.

First email.

No we have not tested the Titan but as a matter of fact we have a new Titan in our building today and we are testing the AAI-NIS. Everything looks good so far but you may want to shoot me an email next week as we will have full confirmation on the Titan.

Thank you,

Now the good news,

Ed,
The AAI-NIS works great in the Nissan Titans, no problem! A couple of my tech guys installed the unit and everything worked great. No real good tricks or anything but I do know that it is a pain to get the radio out. As for that it’s an easy plug and play interface.

Thank you,
Joe Riggs

OK, I have a question.... Will this still need a line driver to get the level up like when plugging into the AUX on the face of the deck?

I think that depend on the source you are using, some people have no need for a PIE amp with AUX while other do.

Gotcha. Cuz my starmate replay is super quite when plugged into the AUX port. I actually just use the FM signal for now. I may just get the line driver and hardwire it to the aux plug instead.

Re: Update on Aux input for Titan

might be time to sell the OEM satellite receiver on ebay.... i really hate how you cant see the full name of songs/bands, on top of which you cant display all the info at once!

Re: Update on Aux input for Titan

I would pay you a reasonable price for it if you want to work something out. I don't drive my truck enough that the display limitations would bother me. In fact I have an xm commander setup and Micro antenna in case your interested.
