2 IDQ 10"s w/ Phen Gold 600.1

im the one that was talking about getting 2 8w7's in my CC titan. Ive changed my mind and decided to go with 2 IDQ 10"s with the Phenix Gold 600.1 amp. Ive been told this is one of the best sounds out there for my truck. Anyone have any experiences with these or know if this would sound as good or not?

idq10' are very SQ based subs, id go with four of them though as they are not very loud, or just get two idq12's they will fit in the box I had made for my truck at one point in time, they are rather shallow,a nd dont need a ton of space or power either--

they are VERY nice sounding woofers IMO

well, it seems i have 2 choices. either the 10 (or possible 12 if they fit correctly) inch idq v2's or 2 10w3v2.... which one will be better all around?

These are "musical subs" so I hope that is what you are going for. They don't hit hard at all. My friend had these and they sounded more like they bass you get from a good set of 6x9s rather then a 10" sub. But as smoke said they sound good just kinda weak and don't hit the real low notes well.

the 12' are VERY musical, and two will suffice for most low notes, but the 10's youll need 4 of them (and yes four will fit) as will the 2 12's

if you are a heavy bass head, they may not be the best bet

may want to look into the dayton reference 12's HO version supposedly some great sounding woofers, and they are on sale for like 105 each from partsexpress.com

they need power though so keep you eye on that if you already bought the amp

not really mainstream, but the specs, copper weight,and build qaulity are far better than most you can buy in your local CC

I'm not sure about the IDQ's mounting depth air box requirements, but a pair of Peerless XLS10's would work. 4 5/8" mounting depth and minimum airspace of 0.4ft³ sealed.

Me, I'm looking into four RE8's. They are pretty inexpensive, and from what I've heard so far they sound great.

so whats the difference between the idq10 D2 and the D4? which is better? which is more expensive?
