can someone post a picture of CC 2006 RF radio

I am needing a picture of a 2006 Fosgate CC radio. A simple close up of the head unit in the dash of the both the cc and KC model. I need to see some differancees in button locations from my 2004 version........(ie how the sat function is labled, aux, and headphone on'off etc)

I just bought a bare 2006 RF HU (no dash panel). It looks identical the one in my 2004 CC.

I don't have a SAT button on my 2004 dash plate w/NAV. I get the OEM XM receiver by cycling the RADIO button to AM FM SAT.

What do you mean "integrated Sirius tuner" ? My XM is a separate box that connects to the RF HU via an N-BUS cable.

that is intergrated, like mine...as opposed to the dash mount pnp units.....sorry for the confusion....

Re: can someone post a picture of CC 2006 RF radio

That CAT/FOLDER button looks like something I don't have. Maybe they have the same connector, but have an extra active pin(s) for that button on the 2006. Maybe I need to go DL the 2006 service manual.

Or maybe the 2004 Tune button will handle that?

Re: can someone post a picture of CC 2006 RF radio

yeah, there are a few buttons differant on the pic above from what i have, so that is why i wnat some info on what does what......would like to know if the "radio button" scrolls am fm sat. and what other functions does the cat/folder button do? is that the same as the tune button on the 04 o5 model?

also it seems redundant witht he rear on off button and the button next to it the headphone symbol, on mine the headphone button turns on the ir for the rear controls and also turns off the rear speakers at the same time....what is the rear/on off than?

anyone got a downloadable 2006 owners manual they can post up the radio section?

hey best, have you already installed that 06 head unit? I also want an 06 head unit so that I can listen to MP3 files on disc with my stock stereo. Did you just plug the 06 head unit into the 04 face? I hope that it's that easy...

Re: can someone post a picture of CC 2006 RF radio

my assumption is that the buttons are labelled differently because of the MP3 features.... i'm going to assume the new HU frimware will work perfectly with the old hardware buttons, just you'll have to know that the buttons have newer features. I could be wrong though.... only a couple ways to find out!

Re: can someone post a picture of CC 2006 RF radio

Ok i just bought one on OFAS for $159 NEW.

I put it in today and WOW.
just installed it today in my 04 LE CC. it works great!!!! took 5 minutes to install. the mp3 function is tremendous, put 135 songs on 1 cd and the display now shows song title, artist, etc.
It also now has RDS (radio data service) for Fm stations which now display the song and artist (mine didn't have that previousely don't know if late build 04's or 05's had that) It seems too the volume is louder too. All in all a great addition if you want to replace yours. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!!

It was truely a simple plug and play switch. Some of the buttons are differant (i got both the HU and the knobs) but all the old functions are there somewhere (execpt my mute button is gone now, no biggy never used it) havn't actually had time yet to put songs into "folders" yet to see how the folder fundtion works out but......Radiodaze on OFAS had them for a steal!!!!!!! got quoted $481 from the dealer, so best thing i got so far....
