Sub question

Is it possible to put one, or two 10'' subs under the rear seat of a KC titan that handle around 600 watts RMS? I want alot more thump then what the current 8'' has to offer but everwhere I look around town they say the most I could put is like a 150W... anyone know?

Re: Sub question

You will need a custom enclosure but I have two 12's under my rear seat and am running 1000 watts peak through them with no problem. Of course if you had more room (I.E. Silverado Extended Cab) you would get a nicer sound.

Re: Sub question

Hey, I have a custom sub box in my kingcab with 2 JL 10W3V2 subs in it. They can take 600W RMS, maybe even more. I have 500W to them and they sound good. Its a downfiring box and carpeted. I would actually sell you the box and subs for $400 if you paid shipping or could pick it up. They are barely used, like a month at the most. Let me know if your interested and I can give you some pics.

Re: Sub question

I have 300w going to a 10" underneath my drivers seat.

WTF why couldn't you put 650w under the seat? Maybe you can't get a single sub that RMS 650 w (jackhammer) under the seat for depth, but you can get two normal subs under there fine, you just have to watch your mounting depth or forward fire.

Re: Sub question

Most of the high power subs require a lot of depth which you don't have in there. Easier to fit two 10s running 300 or so a piece. (Infinity Reference line for example)

Re: Sub question

Cool. Where do you live? Send me a PM and I can answer any questions. Here's some pics. I'll go out tommorow and get some of it finished with the speakers in. I thought I had them on my computer but I have no idea where the pics went. Its just covered with the regular dark grey speaker box carpet.
