Double Din Adapter for a 2004 Titan?

Hey guys I recently purchased a Kenwood DDX model monitor for my titan and I am having a hell of a time finding a double din adapter for it. I was wondering what some of you have done in the past.
Thanks
Brandon

Get a XE bezel, you can use the mounting bracket from factory radio to mount the new unit.

You can also go down to Car Toys and buy one for about $15. I was in there the other day and they have a double din piece. I can't remember the name of the company, but they have 2 kinds, one for the dual climate control and one without the dual.

Scosche makes one but some people have reported problems.

Re: Double Din Adapter for a 2004 Titan?

unlike the "fancy" radio faceplate in the upper trims, the xe has a standard double din opening. you can buy it at your local parts dept, online or supporting site vendors.

it looks like this,
http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...de=68260-A60CC

you can also purchase a similar panel from the armada. it has two additional openings (it has auto or rear climate) if you need this option,
http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...e=68260-TA60CC

the PRO for the aftermarket units is that it comes with a din sized pocket to fill in the gap if you are only installing a din sized headunit. the CON is that some have said the airbag indicator is unlike stock because it does not have the transparent window cover (ie, exposed bulb). also, it has to fit the armada so it comes with filler plates for the 2 vertical openings...doesn't have that smooth look.

This is the one you want. These guys are out of stock, but I picked up mine on ebay for $60.00 plus shipping. A little more money but well worth it. The oem locations are the same as the stock bezel.

Re: Double Din Adapter for a 2004 Titan?

Be carefull which one you order. I have a 2004 LE and i ordered the Scosche one (through Crutchfield) and it didn't match the factory dash color. My dash was a little lighter grey than the Scosche. Good luck!
