I'm working with a shop right now on getting 4 of their 10s to downfire under CC seat. They had the JL stealthbox there today and I checked it out, if JL can package it like that we can ourselves as well. The tech said he installed the JL box in a Titan CC yesterday and it sounded 100 times better than he thought it would ever have.

Re: For the SPL crowd, XXX from RE.

I have 4 of RE's 8's under the back seat of mine, box still needs some finishing, I had the old XXX 12 in my last truck, after hearing what it can do, I can only imagine what that one is going to be like.

I about 1.75 cubic feet ported at 34 hz stuffed with polyfill and pushing 1200 Watts off of a RE 35.1 amp

Re: For the SPL crowd, XXX from RE.

Nice setup there, how do they sound upfiring. I'm looking at the same thing but with 10s and downfiring.

Either of these.

SE

SX

I'm looking at the specs but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of difference between them. Which one is best.

Re: For the SPL crowd, XXX from RE.

I've posted pictures and video of that woofer in action a couple weeks ago.... They claim it to be a SQL woofer but with that much XMAX there is know way that is going to keep up and stay accurate with drum beats.....

How does it sound? I plan on getting a similar set up, but with the subs facing forward...

Do you have any weird noises from the subs firing towards the seat?

THX in advance...

Re: For the SPL crowd, XXX from RE.

No weird noises, they sound great in this setup. I have never liked downfiring subs for a lot of reasons, and did not want to face the forward for the fear of them getting damaged.

If you are choosing between the SX and SE, both are great subs but I beleive the SX is geared towards more daily driving SQL and the SE more towards SPL.

I have heard an SX 10 sealed and ported and it sounded great, make sure you take plenty of measurements before you order though, all of RE's stuff has really deep mounting depths and most will not fit under the rear seat without modification.

Re: For the SPL crowd, XXX from RE.

Thanks, I'm going to raise the rear seat about an inch and a half to gain the necessary space. Almost 12" in the front should give me what I need.
