Sorry about putting a non-Titan related question in this forum, but I feel I'll get the best advise here.
I have a '05 Saab 92X (rebadged WRX) and would like to put a sub enclosure for a JL 10W0 in the spare tire well and keep the spare. Here are the dimensions I have to work with. The box could be 23" wide towards the front of the car, 27" wide at the back, so 25" on average, 24" long, and 4" deep with an additional 10" X 10" X 4" deep sump that sinks into the spare for the sub to mount on. If I use 5/8" MDF this will give me 1 cubic foot, however I'm concerned about how the shallowness and odd shape of the box will affect sound quality. What do you folks think?

You should post on the wrx boards. Some of them have put a sub under the driver's seat. The saab is sometimes called a saaburu because the frame and powertrain and most of it is a suburu.

I've done a bunch of searching on the Subaru boards and haven't found what I'm looking for. I already know what sub and box I'll be using. I already have the sub, so it's an easy choice. I just want to know if the odd shape of the enclosure will severely effect the sound quality? I'm posting here because I have noticed that there are some real audiophiles ob this board.

Do you have any pictures of your saab and what do u mean by rebadged wrx?
The Saab 92X Aero is a Subaru WRX Sport Wagon with a Saab front clip, more sound deadening material, softer springs, STI steering rack and sway bar bushings, and other options not available on the Subaru model. I picked mine up cheap when GM was having the Employee Discount Sale. (Yes, GM ownes Saab) My license plate is SAABARU
Here are some links to pics I posted on another forum when I bought it.
The sub doesn't know what shape it's in. The concern is enclosure volume and rigidity of said enclosre.
I saw a post on www.icix.com. (Edesingsausio.com) meessage board that did what you want on an accord. Sorry I'm on a blackberry so I can't search for you. It looked good.
