hey guys i am planning on doing 4 rockford p2 10" subs under my rear seat (king cab). i know it is possible and can be done but rather than pay someone at a car audio store i would rather build the box myself. I am pretty good with doing all that stuff. i just do not have most the tools to cut, smooth, grind, etc... so what i am asking if there is any fellow tt members willing to help me out on an install for this... lol an yes i completely understand if no one wants to help or let borrow tools, but i thought i would ask... by the way i have the amp and subs already...
all wiring is done also... i previously had two rockford p3 10" subs installed...
ps. any help or ideas please let me know

The recommended internal volume for just one of those P2s in a sealed enclosure is .65 ft^3. So for 4 that would be 2.6 ft^3. I don't think you'll make it. You will starve those subs from reaching low and performing efficiently. Not only that, the mounting depth is almost 6", so it will be impossible to fit them over the driveshaft hump. I just don't see it happening (not to sound negative). You would be able to do 2 of them with close to the correct air space. Have you bought the equipment yet? If so, I'd sell 2 of those drivers. thats what i thought... i was talking to some guys at ultimate electronics and they made some measurements with them and said it is possible. the box will stick out roughly an inch or two from the seats. as for the driveshaft hump it will be two subs on each side of it... yes it will definately be a tight fit they said... worst case scenario i will sell the subs and go with my original plan and take the back seats out and build a ported box for two t1 12's and an amp rack... lots of ideas when i think about removing the seats but i would rather keep them. blue water rush thank you for looking out for a tt member... also i think i am going to go to my truck right now and make some measurements, cause now that i am really thinking about it all im not sure its possible either... hmmm ill be back...
