Re: New Projector LED headlights...!

Thanks for the links bbfanz

Has anyone put HID's in these yet? Do Titans use 9006 or H1's (hi/lo beam)? I have seen a couple different listings looking through threads, some say H1 for both & Ebay ads list 9006 for Titan...

Thats exactly what I want to know, I have the 9006 kit and wouldn't trade it for the new assembly, but if I could have both...

Re: New Projector LED headlights...!

The Titan's OEM lights take 9006 bulbs and the aftermarket projector lights take H1 bulbs. I bought an HID kit for my projector lights and they did not fit without modifing the projector. I had to use a dremel tool to grind out the hole for the ignitor wire to fit. Not really a big deal, but it's not just a plug and play install. The Hid's looked great, but my kit had a bad ballast right out of the box. The seller didn't have another of the same kit so I just decided to return them for a refund. I decided I'm not happy with my projectors anyway and I'm gonna sell them. I'm just waiting till I get some time to paint the housings on my stock headlights first. Then I'll do HID's in them.

I got 6000k, but if I were to do it again, I would go 4300... that is the best for visablility

Did you get an H1 HID kit, or a 9006 HID kit and fit it in the projector?

It was an H1 kit. The 9006 kit would defenitly not work.

Re: New Projector LED headlights...!

Dammit oh well it was a nice dream, I am not going to pay $500 for some projector HIDs when the HIDs I currently have work great.

You can also buy just the H1 HID bulbs only and use your existing ballasts, etc. for under $100. Then sell your bulbs. Just a thought.

I'm not impressed with the projectors light output at all. It should be far better than OEM, and it's not. Also, the more I look at them, I don't really like them on my truck. Those damn 3 LED's just ruin the look in my opinion.
