adding amp to Rockford system

Whats the best way to get a pre amp signal from the RF system?

The RF system has an external amplifier.

Thus, I think you can just connect to the outputs at the back of the head unit. I used Scosche NN03 & NN03R harness pigtails & a Navone NE-774V 4 channel LOC.

You don't need to hack the factory wires using the Scosche regular & reverse harnesses.

Will you still be able to use the factory amp and speakers? All I wanted to do was add a pair of subwoofers to the factory system.

No, I thought you were doing a full install. I think some people just tapped at the rear speaker wires if all you are doing is adding subs.

This Navone LOC has variable potentiometers, so you can get a strong imput signal, and thereby keep the imput sensitivity low on your amp = lower noise, clearer output.

You really can just pull the door jamb trim in the rear and tap 2 factory speaker leads for your imput... real easy. For your amp turn-on signal, you could tap another speaker lead with a trigger device, or +12 at the HU.
