Radio Shack ground loop isolator- directional?

I'm wiring in a PIE amp to my stock HU, and also installing the ground loop isolator. I'm no electronics expert but I'm assuming this thing is directional, right? However it has no markings or instructions as to which way it goes. I have to cut the wires on this to hardwire it and don't want to do this twice- do any of you know which way it should be wired in? One side has significantly shorter wires on it. Any info would be great!

I think it is a 1:1 (the primary & secondary windings have the same number of turns) audio isolation transformer, so not directional.

I have found you can get rid of most ground loops by grounding at the metal that is right next to the fuse box. As with any ground loop finding the right place to ground it will take care of it better that any aftermaket isolator.
Enjoy

Thanks T. I wired everything up and there is still some slight engine whine. Only noticeable when the volume is up and there is no music. Once the music comes on I don't hear it but it still bugs me that it's there. I'll extend the ground wires and ground it per your advice and see what happens!
