Bezel removal

How easy is it to remove the bezel for the stereo. I plan on removing the factory subwoofer because my aftermarket system that I have installed sounds like crap and I am wonderng if that factory sub might have something to do with it. I know the output is only 1.5v which doesn't help any. Thanx

Re: Bezel removal

The radio bezel itself just pop out, no screws or nothing.

Re: Bezel removal

If you are going to unplug your airbag light, make sure and disconnect the negative battery cable first. If you don't, it will flash when you put it back together.

Re: Bezel removal

You need fingers..and a straight edge (paint scraper etc.) to pry it free.

I was able to do it...so you should be able.

Just go yank the F**ker out right now and jam it back in...then you'll know how easy it is.

I unplug mine all the time, the only time I have ever had my air bag light come on and flash was when I turned the key to aux. w/ the airbag plug undone. This will cause it to flash and you have to reset it. Just dont have Nissan reset it for you, they charge like $80

Just reset it yourself and save $80

1. Turn the key from off to on.

2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off instantly.

3. Count to 5 (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi . . . .)

4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.

5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry.

6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing.

If it does not work the first time, just repeat the steps again.

I found this post somewhere else it was very nice :-)

And the bezel wasnt that hard I just used a small flat head screwdriver for my computer and popped it out. Nice and easy :-)
