I appreciate the shallow depth of the sub, but if they don't get the enclosure volume down as well then the shallow mount isn't as good as you would want it to be.

Designed for Ultra small Sealed and small vented Boxes:
.75 qft (requires 1000W for full output)
1.0 qft (requires 800W for full output)
1.25 qft vented at 50 Hz (requires 400W for full output)

.75 and 1000w makes this sub more difficult to work with.

.75 qft isn't too bad really, thats pretty typical. What other woofer offers this kind of output and needs less airspace?

I'm thinking .75 is doable in the KC, but you have more experience with building boxes than I do. I'm trying to figure out how it would compare to a
W6 Because I want good output and SQ like a W6 would provide only I need a 12" that would fit!

* Guess We Can Still Hope These come out soon as well but to be honest I have been waiting a year and 1/2 for something that will Provide decent SQL!

Oh yeah you can do it in a kc, but 80% of the time if you have .75, then you can also afford 6.5" of depth.

So you once in a while this would come in really handy (like in our titans, but its not that great even for that), but not nearly as often as a shallow that needed say .3cu

The 1000w thing is a bit much too, to put just one of those in your truck your going to need to upgrade your alternator. or if you have 1.25cu you can get by with 400w, but then if you have 1.25 cu then why the hell are you using a shallow sub? I understand that you may be able to custom glass the box around and under and thru things for extra airspace, but is that demand going to be enough to keep a company in buisness?

Don't get me wrong, there is a niche market that needs this, but if you could get this thing to sound decent (not top of the line SQ, but infinity perfect quality sound) in .3cu then you could put 8 of them in your kc

Re: Anyone Drop One Of These In Their Titan?

Yea, thats whY i posted over on Titan Talk since we are the market for this type of woofer.

I'm thinking a 1000 watt class D amp might work alright in the titan as well, or am I mistaken?

I just wanted to install a single sub on either the drivers or passengers side under the rear seat, I don't want to give up my whole back seat. I would like a SQ sub though and I'm not sure what this thing will produce.

Woulden't this be easier to find a box for than the DLS Neoydium 12" I was looking at? Which of those two do you think would be better? I guess I could ait for those TC subs for another month before I make a decision...

I wish I could help you man, honestly my ear isn't tuned very well for subs, I can't tell them apart very well. I mean I can tell a crappy one from a good one but I have a hard time distinguishing a good one from a gooder one... I think once you get into the good catagory alot of it depends on the song.

Normally however I would say any "regular" sub would outperform any "shallow" just because of the xmax.. this sub may be an exception, its has an irregularly large xmax.

Anyway, if shallow is what your looking for try this thing out at $579 what do you have to lose

I am waiting for EDI to come out with their shallow, mainly because I am so impressed with the 2 7" woofers I have of thiers (eu-700)

Actually I probably won't make it that far, I am nearly done with my truck mod checklist and am looking forward to moving on to my next car (keeping the titan, getting a 2nd vehicle) a honda civic. I am going to finally get to play with some real subs and some real power.. the 4 amps / 1850 w I have in my truck right now just isn't cutting it
