Question Anyone use one of these for their Ipod?

Just seen this, looks kind of slick but wanted to see if anyone had ever used one and what they thought of it?

Re: Anyone use one of these for their Ipod?

I know someone here has it and they love it, I installed one in my friends 06 trailblazer a few weeks ago and ended up having to take it out two days later
it's FM modulated and if you don't mind having to switch stations everyone in a while or the sound of static like an old record player this might be good for you, I personally thought it sounded like crap

BTW best buy had them for $99 if you're still gunna get one

It is a great setup, but wait a few months anf im sure you will be able to use an AUX cable for it instead of FM mod.

once they have it set for that I will be purchasing one.

Re: Anyone use one of these for their Ipod?

It may. I havent looked at them in a while, so AUX cables may be an option now. I know they weren't when it first came out.

It is a slick setup, I would buy it if i were you.

FM modulation sucks. KISS - get a $5 cable from radio shack and put the ipod in your cup holder.

Wow thats gay.

Apple needs to buck up and put bluetooth in its players to unlock its real potential, or people need to stop supporting companies that lock everything up in a proprietary mess.

Imagine a world where your ipod will play actual mp3s, FLAC, ogg, mkv, ogm, etc etc, and broadcast them via bluetooth to any bluetooth enabled device... not only the audio gets broadcast, but the device can also do navigate files, display file info, control volume etc etc...

\hates ipod because they have so much potential that will never be realized because there stands to be less profit for the manufacturers

I'm with you Grunge...

Proprietary stuff sucks balls...

I just switched off Verizon to Cingular-motorola for that reason. Moto switched to mini-usb plugs for the phones...makes things so much easier charge/data/headphones...etc all through one do it all port. and bluetooth isn't needlessly locked like it with Verizon.

Re: Anyone use one of these for their Ipod?

I am saving my mp3-phone virginity for the nokia n91... 4gb hard drive and 2.3 megapixel digital camera... too bad it will never be availible in the states.

The best thing about GSM is we get to shop worldwide
