Help Needed Fast

OK

So I'm 90% done with my 06 custom install.

oh and btw the 04 xe bezel, even when you cut a space for the dual display, does not fit easily!... but i got it to work

Anyways I put in a kenwood kvt717dvd and went throught the wires one by one to connect the speakers and so far so good, except one thing!

How do I wire the sub up to the new HU!

also I'm getting some wierd feedback while the truck is running...like a whirling noise as rpms get higher the noise gets louder? Bad ground?

Pics to follow soon!

Mods:

Alpine 10.5" independent rear dvd flip down

kenwood 717dvd touchscreen with nav/xm/sirius/ipod/dvd all wired and mounted under the pass seat

thanks for the help

ummm... you did aftermarket hu on stock speakers? then your running your speaker outs from the kenwood to the stock RF amp?

The noise you are hearing is alternator whine, you only hear it when your engine is running right, not when just on acc?

You have problems man..... problems bigger than I am willing to explain right now as it would take forever to explain everything. I think you can swap the HU and keep the speakers, but I sure as hell wouldn't try it. Maybe someone can chime in and explain how they did it. One of the problems I would think would be going out from your HU to the in on the RF amp.

Correct

I've done alot of installs of new HU's without changing the speakers... I have the fakegate system, and it sounds pretty good in my opinion

Someone mention that I might be getting the alternator feedback from a bad ground?
