Connecting power amp to factory radio

Hello,

I just purchased a new SE w/ the base radio. I have an powered infinity Amplifier. Is there a way to hook up an amp to the factory stock base radio?

Thanks,

Mike

You just need some kind of line out converter, the one Yellowmantis post are some of the higher end model, they range from $40 on up. Basically all these do is convert the high level output from the stereo to low level (pre-amp level).

Re: Connecting power amp to factory radio

eBay has a bunch of these converters for $10 - $20 shipped, and some amps will allow high level speaker inputs(my old Coustic does)

If all you want is bass then you just need a sub, and amp, and a LOC (line out converter). Some amps have locs built in (they accept high inputs)

If you want to replace the speakers, you need the loc, your new speakers and an amp.
