Factory Nav + Aftermarket Headunit?

Hi all, I'm buying a 06 CC LE with the factory nav. I was hoping to get the truck without the nav and go aftermarket but I don't think I'll be able to get the truck without the Nav and get the other options I want (like side airbags).

Sorry if my questions are FAQ questions, but I didn't readily find my answers by searching. Maybe I searched on the wrong things...

Questions:
1) Is it possible to replace the headunit with a double din aftermarket unit and keep the factory nav system? I see the aftermarket bezel for this, but I'm wondering about the compatibility of the headunit and the nav system and how intertwined they are. Hopefully, not much. If this is possible, do you loose any functionality, like tire pressure sensors, or anything else like that?

2) If I get the Sirius radio from the factory, will that work with an aftermarket headunit?

thanks!!
Mike

P.S. Can't friggin' wait to get the truck!!

It can be done, not sure how easy a task it is.
Indash aftermarket headunit with factory Navi

Apart from the bezel NAV switch issues, there is also the audio guide voice interface from the OEM NAV to deal with.
