Re: Satellite radio
Questions...what is a good unit to buy?
I think most of the popular units are fine. If you go with a Nissan receiver, the advantage is that it interfaces with the N-Bus satellie connection cable (as opposed to the AUX connection) and also works with the steering wheel controls. The aftermarket units are typically less expensive and provide displays with better information.
Can you still tune into local channels?
The satellite receiver provides an additional source, and does not replace existing AM, FM. So you could continue to tune to the same local AM & FM stations you have now, but not using the satellite receiver.
Will it improve reception?
Generally, yes, although you may have cutouts in reception in tunnels, near tall buildins and other obstructions.
What is the general monthly charges?
Varies depending on the plan you select. They have various special deals they run now and then. Search the net & Sirius & XM web sites for the best deal.
Also ..is there suppose to be bass in the drivers seat but not passenger? (there is a considerable difference between the two)
The RF sub is located under the driver's seat. There is no sub under the passenger's seat.
I just have the stock 6 CD changer in my LE CC
If you have an LE, I think you automatically get the RF system, with the sub under the driver's seat and the external amp up under the driver side dash on the firewall. AFAIK, all of the RF equipped trucks come with the N-Bus satellite receiver interface cable installed and routed under the driver side dash, and are thus read to connect to a Nissan sat receiver.
