Ok, I was listening to a CD, I changed the track with the steering wheele control and it seemed to lock up. The timer locked, the track and all info on the display was locked up. No button would change anything, including the power buttons. After turning the truck off and ignition back on the radio / cd is now totally innoperative. The clock works on the display, but the radio and cd player will not power on at all using either the steering wheel power button or the knob power button.

One thing you could try is to remove all power from the radio. Turning it off with the on/off button does not accomplish this since it has constant DC fed to maintain its 'memory'. You need to remove the "radio" fuse in the engine compartment momentarily. If you cannot locate that fuse then remove the positive cable from the battery for at least 30 seconds.
If clearing the memory does not reset the radio, then the next stop is your friendly dealer for warranty replacement.
Yes, I was also thinking of removing main power from it so it "totally dies" to see if that resets it. I will do that first thing tomorrow and report back if it helps. If not, then I guess to the dealer - yes still under warranty thank goodness.
Just joined this forum and glad to see so many people here and thanks for the fast responses. Other than the radio thing, I really love my Titan. I only have a billet grill (top and bottom) so far, so where is the best place to see what other cool aftermarket parts are available. I know there are hundreds of sites, but any suggestions for the "good" ones?
For accessories, first thing I would suggest is check out the sponsors. They're at the bottom of the forums page. They support us, so it's nice to support them. If you don't find what you want, just Google Nissan Titan Accessories. You'll get more pages than you know what to do with. Have fun! Hope power failing the radio cures it for ya!

Any ideas or anyone else have this problem?
Thanks!

This very thing just happened to me last week! I haven't taken it to the dealer yet but plan to.

This works!! I removed the positive lead off the battery and let it sit for 30 mins or so.....reconnected it...fired it up and...I got my stereo back!! Thanks for the tip!
I had this same exact problem happen to me today. While skipping forward tracks on a MP3 disc the deck froze up. None of the functions worked. It wouldn't play or eject discs, the tuner wouldn't work and none of the controls would work. I turned off the ignition and restarted the truck but, the system still didn't work. The deck just displayed the time and nothing else. I pulled the fuses to the audio system to try to solve the problem and that did NOT work. I then disconnected the NEGATIVE battery cable for awhile. I re-connected it an hour later and the audio system was back to normal.
Exact problem here too, except that I opted to pull the entire radio out of the truck (disconnecting the entire harness). One would THINK that such an action would be sufficient to "clear" the memory of the radio and thus reset it, but no such luck. It still won't enter CD mode, and it won't give me back my discs.
So I took it to the stealership in Buena Park; at first, they wanted 3 hours to look at it (just to CONFIRM what I was telling them). When I told them that I would not leave my truck with them for three hours just to confirm a bad radio, they allowed me to demonstrate the failure on the spot, and they said "OK" even after having successfully ejected not more than one disc. Anyway, it's one week later and I still don't have a replacement.
It's a good thing I bought the Pioneer AVIC-D3.... will probably install it Wednesday and say to hell with the stock head unit.
Update: my replacement was done without hassle. Suggestion for the original poster, if your truck's still under warranty: take it in, tell them what's wrong, and politely insist that they replace it. My service advisor at first wanted three hours just to look at it and confirm the failure, when I politely insisted that he could not have it that long, he allowed me to demonstrate it. After demonstrating it, he put in the order and today, I've got a new radio in my truck.
