need sub wiring help...

i currently have my friends subwoofer in my truck (he is letting me borrow it since he isnt using it) until i get my sub then im givign it back to him but i would like to try to wire both of these subs up to my amp to see what it sounds like but i need help on how i should wire them

here is my buddies sub that im using (omg this thing is heavy)

here is the sub that im buying

now my amp says its 1 ohm stable but i dont really think i want to wire this sort of load to my amp, i mean i think it wold be ok if i did somethign to make shure it stays cool. I would like to know if there is any way that these subs can be wired for 2 ohms, instead of 1 or 4 ohms tho, this is what i have been using as a refrence for subwoofer wiring

Re: need sub wiring help...

So, If I am reading this right, you do have two subs, correct? If so then wire them to 1 ohm, if your amp says it is stable at 1 ohm, then it should be able to run there without getting hot enough to damage anything. What amplifier are you running? and to answer your question, you can wire one of the subs to 2 ohms but you can not have both wired in mono at 2 ohms.

Re: need sub wiring help...

You will need to wire it 1 or 4 ohm style. You will need to have an amp that is stable that way, which you said you had. Bump it at 1ohm...it should hit nice.
