Avic-d2

Just had this installed today at a local shop. Seemed like a good deal, with 200$ off, and the free AVIC-S1 that I can turn around and sell on ebay... Anyways my unit sticks out a little a little. Is this normal? I would like it flush... Ive read a post somewhere on here that said it did stick out a little, but just want to see if other titan owners have got theirs sticking out a little as well... Ive got to take the unit back tommorrow anyways because they forgot to hook up the ipod unit, and didnt have time to do it as I picked it up at the end of their business day...

Common for the parking brake error too on the display at boot up?

Re: Avic-d2

Well I took it back and they just cant seem to do anything with it. Apparently its a bit longer than stock radio, and there is a huge metal tube that runs through the dash preventing it from going in any further. I would say they got it lined up better so the glare isnt so bad... but looks good, and works very well...

Looks good. Alot of the Double dins stick out because of that big support. not much you can do. Looks like they did a great install. Congrats!

Re: Avic-d2

Looks great! Thanks! Am looking at this very same unit. Is there any way to still use the built in steering wheel controls?

Yes, There is a module that connects direclty to the factory steering wiring and to the pioneer systems. I'm getting one put in when I install my Z1

the error message is programmed into the unit. it is bypassed so you can use the nav functions while driving. you can not get rid of the error message.
