Re: speakers

Which of the three stock stereos do you have in your truck?

Are you going to change the head unit?

Are you going to add aftermarket amp(s)?

Instead of changing the speakers, you should consider just adding a powered subwoofer. That's asssuming you don't have the RF system. The improvement is remarkable and easier to add then a complete set of speakers.

Re: speakers

I love the diamod d6 for the price, I will be putting them in my civic. In my truck I have a custom pair of ology audios that blow the diamonds away but are over twice the price.

I haven't heard the edi 6500s yet, but since all there other stuff is top notch I would be they are a pretty decent system.

Re: speakers

How about for the 2006 with RF that is being replaced by a Pioneer Z-1?
I hope to make this all happen this weekend.
I have the bezel and the Z1 is enroute. I need speakers now and probably an adapter I would guess.
Any advice on speakers and what harness I may need?

Diamonds are pretty nice compared to the stock system

It really depends on how much you want to spend. High end would be top of the line Rainbow, Morel, DLS, Focal

The DLS Iridiums are great in an IB, setup but im sure the Morels would be much better if you plan to glass some pods for them. Have not heard the Rainbows but they had better be good for 3g's. I love my Iridiums thought hey are an Excelent choice for the titan if you want to use the stock locations and are willing to at least sound deaden your doors.

Either way you had better plan on getting an amp for best results and probably a Head Unit too.

I finally got to hear the Iridiums a few weeks ago, they sounded great but were to soft for my preferance, I really love the piercing highs.

Of everything I have heard though nothing compares to the diamond d6s at $150 you can get them for on ebay.... Thats the catch, the diamonds are a 450$ speaker that you can get for $150... Worth every penny at $450 but for $150 you have to have them...

I really want to try a pair of the edi's though.
