Dampening!

How much soundeadener matting should I have to fully cover the interior of my king cab? I'm looking at buying RAAMmat and it only comes in rolls (15" by 50') so should I get one or two? Also are there certain area's to concentrate on?

Re: Dampening!

depends on how much time you want to spend. 2 rolls or more is better but it's a lot of time.

do the doors, floors, rear firewall.

Re: Dampening!

I used 5 or 6 rolls in mine I believe, plus ensolite foam from RAAMAT. Great stuff that little bit of extra thickness saves lots of extra time. I only used 1 layer on the floor, but 2-3 in other areas. 2 layers takes care of the majority of the work.

Contact Rick, and he will tell you how the shipping brakes down, then you can order more if you want.

Re: Dampening!

Here is a truck that I did with a buddy of mine.

I think there is ~200 sq ft total in the whole truck.

The whole install is in there.

Re: Dampening!

200 SF for my TITAN.

Two layers on the floor, firewall, one layer on the rear wall and three layers on each of the 4 doors.
