Overhead DVD......

almost bought a 12" system yesterday. They quoted me $1350 installed($1250 for the system). So glad I didnt do it though, went home to do some research and found the exact same thing for $200 minus the head phones. Does anyone have or know if directed is a good brand. The sales guy told me it is a very good system, but for some reason I dont trust him . Also is it easy to install or should I have someone else do it. Thanks for the help...

Direct is a good brand, $200 is a steal. Go here and see BlackBart's screen and how it's nstalled.

Re: Overhead DVD......

the lift was done by greg at prg so give him a call. he will give you a great price on the lift. i change my front and rear shocks and i think you can use the stock shocks but am not sure greg will give you the 411.

Re: Overhead DVD......

I got mine installed by Best Buy. I saw an ad for same system for $549 installed one weekend recently. You could try to install it yourself but I wasn't gonna risk messing it up to save a few dollars.

Re: Overhead DVD......

Blackbart,
Are you happy with the Directed monitor? I have seen the 10" and 15" on eBay for cheap, but never the 12". I checked out Directed's website and the specs show the actual case for the 10" screen being larger by an inch than the 12" one. Seems a bit odd. Looking at you pics it seems like you didn't have another inch to spare. What do you think?
