I recently just purchased a new 4 door titan and was wondering the size of subs ill need to buy to fit in a box under the back seats. 10's or 12's, doesnt matter, money doesnt matter either, but i just want the best sound with a good fit. Hope i can get some help, thanks
No need to be an ***, but since you took the time out of your day to respond, I have searched and cant find anything to help me, unless im missing something. I guess all i need to know is if anyone knows good boxes and good subs to fit(mounting depth, etc). But maybe you're to busy worrying abouth grammar on an online message board rather then helping someone. Thanks
I HERE sum people usng 12's and 10's four there sistom. haha I'm playing bro. I like messing with people who talk about grammer when this is a Titan forum, not English forum. hah. Anyways, I'm running on 10's in my truck. I heard though some people using 12's. I have an amp if you're ever looking for an amp. It's a Kenwood 425 watt and only had it for 3 weeks. Selling it for $130 if you're local, meaning San Diego but $160 shipped. PM me if you're interested in it.
I had 12" premier subs in my old f150. They are a extremely shallow mount sub. I think they are like 3" or less. They look like a frying pan. I paid around 300 each and they SLAMMED in a sealed box with .45 cu ft air space per sub. I did use some poly fill though. I was powering them with a 775w mono amp. check them out, here's a link...
I wanted to do Arc Audio Subs because i think they are hard to beat for the price, but I'm also waiting on the new TC Sounds SMT's they should be out this month!

you might want to check out the jl 8w3v2. my friend has 4 of them in his 06 titan cc. it will take all the room in the back. his sub amp was mounted under the driver side and his mid and hi was under the passenger(both are jl). look and sound good. u might want to find someone that has work on a titan before..i will post up some pics when i figure out how to do it..gl
If money doesn't matter go to the best local shop and have them glass you box with their favorite sub...and ensure that you will like or get your $$$ back.
Saying money is no object is probably what got you a bad response. Car audio systems are known to cost over 100K for crazy setups...so the statement you made is likely false and bragging about your wallet upsets folks pretty easy.
Just something to keep in mind for future posts.
Money is an issue for me and I like Infinity Reference 10" subs. They are an easy fit and sound great for the price (2 for 100 bucks)...

I got (2) Audiobahns that holds 300 rms watts each for about 90 bucks for both brand new from Cardomain.com. Had them for 3 years and not once had a problem pushing 550 watts from a Kicker and never blown yet.

Re: the perfect sub
Man, I don't think the guy was trying to say he was a member of the Forbes family but just saying he was willing to pay for whatever worked the best for his needs. I'm surprised Adam, I thought tree hugging paid better than that. Ha Ha!!!
not meaning to offend a single person, it was a reference to wanting to buy the best possible setup without going totally overboard. But back to the topic, most boxes i find made for my particular titan, which includes a lot of people here states the mounting depth is only 5 3/4'' which doesnt leave me much room to fit a high end sub, unless someone can link me somewhere. I've read a few reviews on some subs, especially the audiobahn AW1200V and have not found anyone talking bad, so i may look into it a little more. And also, i dont need subs that will exactly crack the concrete, just to blur my vision a little bit
im running 4 rockford 10 inch p2's with a rockford t10001bd amp (1000 watt mono) in a a custom box built by a local shop. It hits ridiculous, but very very clean. I am pretty happy with the setup... i may change it up a little and get the shallow mount rockford p3's and add another t10001 amp... i dont know if they are out yet, but the only reason i went with p2's was because of the airspace... and supposedly the new shallow mount p3's dont require as much airspace... theres my 2 cents hope i didnt lose ya!

I have 4 Resonant Engineering RE 8's in a 1.75 Cubic foot box, ported to 34 hz. Hits like hell for some 8's but its really lacking in the low low bass, sounds really good with kick drums and some rock though.
for the perfect setup I think you will have to figure out what you want, more Sound Quality or just plain loud and how much space you are willing to give up.
