I keep debating over what my sound system is going to be. i am a HUGE JL audio fan, but none of their subs will work, unless i go with a custom box, and i just want it simple. I am looking for something either dual 10" or dual 12" ~1000 watts to each. so lets see what you guys think, also recommend an amp with it...so far i am looking at the kicker L7s, but would love other ideas. Thanks
Re: whos got the ultimate soundsystem in their titan?
ya the mounting depth on the orions are 5.25" which is pretty slim...I am looking more into kicker, i think i prefer circular over square...the CompVX looks alot more pleasing to me (same specs as the L7)...another thing that isnt really lighting a bulb for me is the amp..the kicker zx1000.1 looks good, but i also dont want to buy two, because of the powerdrain on the titans electrical..so im thinking of sequencing the two subs together. i dont know..maybe you know more than me on this stuff
Re: whos got the ultimate soundsystem in their titan?
I would say Kyle Stillen has the best set up on this site!! I could be wrong though.

True that.... Are you going to try and fit it under the rear seat. If so I would think my P3s will compete with the best. If you don't care about any room in the back then what he said ....

I'll third that
I have 4 Resonant Engineering RE 8's in a ported box, and its crazy loud. I used to recommend RE alot but they have been bought out by Planet Audio and their prices have gone through the roof. I would suggest Soundplinter RL-i 8's, those little subs are nuts. Check out what just one of them can do

1000w each will probably require a new alternator and at least one new battery.

You need to first pick out what subs you want to run, then pick out an amp that suits them. As for 4 ohm or 2 ohm, that just depends on what amp you are going to get and how you are going to wire your subs. Most sub amps these days are most efficient at either 1 ohm or 2 ohms mono, so you should shoot for that when wiring your subs (i.e. running 2 2 ohm 10"s in parallel will get you a 1 ohm load).
