Speaker baffle template?

I was curious if any of you have a template that you could scan for the speaker adapters. I have someone that will make them for me locally I just didnt want to take the doors apart if someone could scan the template for me.

Thanks!

Re: Speaker baffle template?

The template depends, in part, on the particular speakers to be installed.

Re: Speaker baffle template?

I just made some for the rears. It's pretty easy actually, I just traced the existing bracket on some 3/4" MDF and cut out with a jigsaw. Tomorrow I'm going to do the fronts.

Re: Speaker baffle template?

I know its easy, I had them apart before when I deadened the doors. I just didnt want to have to take them apart "again" if someone had it that I could trace onto some MDF and cut them out so I'd be ready and only have to take them apart once more. Its only 17 degrees out.

Re: Speaker baffle template?

Nice I have a set of M6i's on the way and will be having to redo my baffles as well, going to double up this time to get them closer to the openings in the door panel.

Re: Speaker baffle template?

I'm really excited for the new speakers... I had the CL's in my tacoma and they were ok. These new line of drivers from CDT are supposed to be awesome.

I will probably double up on the baffles too.

Re: Speaker baffle template?

I currently have the CF set in my titan and they sound pretty good, but for the cost of the upgrade on just the drivers I cant resist.

I was actually in the middle of ordering them with Don S and got a little side tracked...

Going to put in an order for them tonight.

How much did you end up paying? Did you use the upgrade program?

Mind making a copy of your template and posting it?

Re: Speaker baffle template?

Thats cool, he'll give you the best price available. I did the M6 Braxial setup with the DRT26 silk along with the 500xt upstage module and silk tweets. The package came direct from CDT in California.

I'm painting them today. I'll try to make a copy of it and scan it at work. They didn't come out too great but they should work. I was stupid and removed both door panels to trace the factory plastic bracket onto my MDF before I realized that they are both the same. So if that helps anyone. Just take off one door and trace it 2 times.
