I just got my Titan and love it. I do not have the factory dvd but would like to add one. Does anyone know if there are modles that hook up to the factory stero system so the rear controls that are there can still work? And any reccomendations on models would be appricated.
Do a search on Myron Davis. THey make an aftermarket system that integrates seamlessly with your Titan. I think Amazon.com sells them too. Goodluck with the install.

You can tap your aftermarket dvd player into the factory harness and have sounds through the speakers, all function of the rear controller would work like factory. The rear controller however is limited to only selecting source (minus the AUX) and volume control. look for llajumpvid's how-to in his sig.

Okay the Myron Davis seems to be what I'm looking for. Do you know why it has the fm transmitter??? if it hooks up to the factory wiring?? lajumpvid's solution is way over my head !!
Do you know if I can find a local Dealer for the Myron Davis that will do the install?

Myron Davis just supplies the screen (which is a direct replacement). Nothing else. So you'll still need a player and need to hook it up somehow.

The FM modulator just make it easier to get sound through the headunit, the hook up to factory wiring is purely optional but better IMO. It's not hard at all. A good stereo shop should have no problems installing what you want. Like rvandam stated, you need a dvd player or other video input device.

if i may let me go a little deeper on fm mods. fm radio plays form like 48 htz to 16k htz. these are not exact numbers but i am close.music and dvds are recorded from 20 hz to 20k. this is the human ears hearing range. so with a fm mod you lose some both on the top and on the bottom. Most people do not realize they are missing it untill they have it switched to a direct input. so if you can go direct it sounds much better.
man....this is so over my head. I guess I thought the same thing. I have the RF ^cd/changer with the dvd button...I assumed I only needed to plug the screen into the hole(there is a jack) and slide a dvd in in and go...Ill bend over..please don't kick too hard!

We used the AUX input, but moved the connection to behind the dash, so you don't have to plug in the audio, and so you don't see it is plugged in. Much cleaner look.
The Myron and Davis flip down 7" screen and DVD CAN be bought as a package because I have it. However, I would strongly discourage this player. It is a complete piece of crap. I am on my second one in only two years because the first one simply quit working. It was getting power but the functions wouldn't work properly and it wouldn't play the discs. Now my second one (identical to the first) is doing the exact same thing. I will NEVER buy a Myron and Davis DVD player again.

New List of Mods Coming soon
First off FM modulators suck. There are after market aux wires that wire in to the aux. I have seen them on here and Ebay. I bought 7" screens already in the headrest, dvd player, and wireless headphones in one package from a local audio store for about $1100. No cutting or anything. I think it looks cooler with the two screens anyway. The only thing I don't like is the FM modulator. I will have the aux wire as soon as I have time to put it in. Good Luck on your choice.
