Question FM reception for Pathfinder (need your help gurus)

I put my Alpine IWA200 in my wife's 06 Pathfinder this past weekend and the antenna needed an adaptor to take it from a two pronged connection from the factory to the standard plug for the Alpine. I bought it and hooked everything up and the FM reception is horrible. I never had FM issues when the radio was in the Titan and the factory Pathfinder radio's reception was fine. Is there anything I can do, is some kind of FM amplifier available to correct this? I seen this type of amplifier/booster for VW's as I had to do it but never the FM. I need some help from you audio guru's out there. Thanks in advance!!!

Just to give an update. Turns out it wasn't the adaptor but I failed to connect the power antenna leads on the harnesses. I didn't think that I needed to since it didn't have what I considered a power antenna. It has the antenna built into the glass and appently there is power somewhere. So now the issue is fixed, thanks tech12volt for the reply.

Now, you need to get your hands on an 06 Pathfinder and glass a box in the cubby holes between the wheels humps and the back door for both sides to hold a 10 (or 8) each.
