New box!

I'm very excited. Check out my new box that James (Tech12) built me.

He wont be able to fire it up till tomorrow because he used all mat on one side to save space. I'm sure this was VERY time consuming. Looks great James, cant wait to hear it!!

Re: New box!

Good call P!
Yah James will be "firing it down" sometime today. I hope he is satisified because this is what I wanted. But if it doesnt sound good then we'll have to try something else.

Re: New box!

Watch it sound better than Lizard's $2000 subs in his $2000 box.

Lizard, your toothbrush probably cost more than $200.

lizard knows you get what you pay for . but to answer your question. i compared this sub to the si bm and i must admit it sounded as good as the si . but the suprizing part was that it actually got louder. on the rta they both did the same thing untill got up on the volume . the si stayed smooth and had a couple of dips. at certain freq . 40 and 30 . but over all it was smooth. the cdt had a couple peaks at 60 and 70 when you crunk it up.which explained why it sounded louder.

cdt overall on music i played primus and it kicked and i mean you knew it was there. i played my favorite sq cd natalie merchant and carnival sounded great the bass was nice and tight and played beautiful. it kept up perfectly which alot of subs do not do. i grabbed another of my favorite sq cds . the soundtrack for the movie the comittments . http://www.amazon.com/Commitments-Or.../dp/B000002OGL If you do not own this cd. buy it. The cdt played beautifully very accurate. as good as the si. i really could not hear a difference in the two .

Next i put some linkin parkon .My 8 years old favorite cd since he was 4. this is where the cdt was the star. it kicked you in the back of the head and you can not drive slow with this cd and that sub. trust me it will not happen.the si just did not have the kick that the cdt had on this cd.

overall opinion and this only my opinion. the si is more of a sq sub. hands down. but the cdt is more of a everyday listening sub that plays accurate bass and will kick you in the morning and get you to work on time. If i had to choose one for competition .the si is my pick. for a daily driver its no contest the cdt gets my vote big time. And let me add i do not sell the cdt.

But it still is not a dls .
