Easy seat lift mod. Takes less than 10 minutes and costs under $10. I used 1" round 25mm thick anti-skid pads, 25mm rubber grommets, and 5/8" bolts. I picked the skid pads up at Home Depot and gained 1.5" of height at the front of the seats and the seats still latch. You could add washers if you need to go higher but the seats may not latch. This will allow for more room for your up/down firing enclosures. Lifting the front of the seat will also allow for forward facing 10's. Mounting depth will be around 10" in the King Cab depending on the magnet diameter.
This rear seat lift does not change the rear headroom. The front is lifted upward at an angle. Headroom maybe 1/4" difference if any. I am 6' 3" and did not notice a difference.
Thats cool!
I thought about doing something like that but never did. This should give people a few more options for subs as soon as Tech12 figures out what he can do with this mod!
Sorry I coppied Avis. I came up with the idea a while back. I have mentioned it to tech in the past but finally got around to actually doing it. The spacers are not thick at all, but lifts the front quite a bit. Aspect sort of like the Mini Lift.
Oh man, I thought you were serious about 10" mounting depth. I thought the rear seats would have to be almost verticle to get that lol. Now I see that fromt eh floot to seat is just under 10", then you need to leave 2 inches from the floor (for example) 8.5 inches then 1.5 inches of MD that leaves about 7inces in the front, probably closer to 6 in the middlewhere the magnet would be.
So this does not atualy Lift the rear seats, it just stops them from floding down as far correct? I know my seats will not latch unless they are all the way down as it is so any lifting and they will not latch.
On the drivers side I can pull the seat up even if it is latched, it does not seem to latch very well or take much pressure to overpower it either...

No Dude. Having 11" from the seat to the floor allows you to front fire the 10's. Front firing the 10's gives your 10" of mounting depth.
This takes advantage of the play in the seats and they still latch, but it really isn't a big deal if they don't. You can also get more airspace out of enclosure this way.
