interesting, appears to have the same push terminals, basket, magnet, tinsel leads etc. In fact it looks just like my TC 1000 in the pics only bigger of course. TC must be their build house.

Always give your customers more than they expect to get. And you will get more customers than you expect to get.
It looks a bit beefier than the TC 1000's although I'm not sure what size they have a picture of on their website. Cone Material is definately different. Just looks like TC is building them is all.

The woofer sitting next to the Nightshade has a TC9 motor on it (although even it was not otherwise built by TC), that is as close as the Nightshade is to a TC Sounds driver. It is not built by TC Sounds nor is it made by the same build house as the currently available SI Mag.
This woofer doesn't share anything with the SI Mag, current or next generation. About the only similarity is that both use triple stack motors, but the Nightshade motor is much larger. The Mag is an SQ driver first and foremost, that happens to get loud due to it's long linear x-max and high power handling. The Nigthshade is an SPL driver that happens to sound good enough to listen to... BL of over 30, Qts in the 0.23 area, relatively high Fs, 6 layer spider, and all that SPL goodness.

Hope that clears things up a bit
Sure does, looks don't always mean anything, although I looks closer to the TC1000 than TC9 in appearance to me, only much larger.
Looks good, is Fi Building them?
