Idiot ??? Need to tap power. Where?

OK I feel stupid.

I want to hardwire my handheld GPS (Garmin GPSMap 60cs)

It is internally regulated (up to 36 volts) so were good.

I had it in my Chevy and hardwired to my KTM as well.

I like to have it just for "cool" I have the wiring run under the dash, but am not sure where to tap power from.

I'd like to go to the switched power outlet, but can't figure out how to get to the wiring back there.

Hold my hand please.

I suggest a Little Fuse Mini Blade Add A Circuit to tap the passenger side lighter socket circuit in the fuse panel located on the passenger side dash. The passenger side socket goes on and off with the ignition, the driver side is always on.

You could also go a little father the the fuse box on the passenger side.

This is what I did with my Garmin Nuvi. Works perfect.
