That looks awesome! Who makes the sound deading mat? How many sq.ft. did you need to cover that much of the truck? I would like to mat my truck that completely.

What was installed outside the truck?

I assume you also installed a high output Alt?

Did you run 0ga from the new alt to the factory battery?

Why not replace both batteries with Kinetics since the rear Kinetik can leach power off the factory? Or will that be replaced later?

Why do the batteries ground wires need to be conected? I know there is some debate on wether or not they need to be. What convinced you to do it?
I simply cut the main power wire going to the seat and ran it through a toggle. I believe it is the larger yellow cable running to the seat. I don't believe this will effect the airbags because the drivers seat does not have a sensor like the passenger side.

Outside the truck?

Striders HO alternator has not come in yet. I think he is getting it as soon as he gets home.

I did not rewire the alternator. I ran a second ground but power will have to be run when new alternator is installed.

I was going to install a battery isolator but the relay was cracked so I had to skip that step. Strider will run his factory battery untill it dies and then more than likely replace with HC2000.

I like to run power and ground for additional batteries. Using the chassis works but wanted a guarenteed good ground. The chassis does have more surface area but is not always the best ground on unibody vehicles. I would say a 1/0 gauge copper cable would be a better conductor than the metal chassis. It is not like it is any extra work either.

I used 150 sq ft of FatMat on this install.

I definately did not have the time. Basically did not sleep for 2 weeks. You always have to count on a few snags to hang you up. A lot of time was just running to home depot everytime I needed a specialty bolt. I ran power back to the tailgaite area and wired his Topper lights so he can turn them on with factory remote.

I am also anal retentive and eveything has to be perfect or I will re-do it. This gay @ss 1/0 Monster did not fit any connectors and I even had to bore out the bushings to fit the wire. It was a b!tch to work with.

Cool let us know how the HO Alt install I believe you need to use a hose wrench on something (Power steering?) to do the install. I'd like to know how hard it is.

Working with any 0ga is a ***** especialy when it is oversized. I had a hard time even with the Knu Wire, it would not fit in the ANL fuse holders, well it would first try if you were extreamly careful but thats it and it was a really tight fit at that.

I did my tweeters the same way, only I could not use wood I had to use Thin Carb board (even cardboard from a box was too thick) due to the size of the Iridium Tweeter's dome) Would have been difficult to counter sink lower than the dash as well. The stock grills keep the cardboard pressed in place and does not allow the tweeters to jump. Can't see them anyways so it works well. How is the imaging with those tweeters in the dash? Are they real directional?

Sometimes you just have to start on it and get stuck before you will find a solution. Just try not to break too many clips really take your time with them, I tend to yank on stuff and break it.

OH yea, can you provide some detail on the roof? I still need to do mine and don't want to break anything else Did this truck have the overhead storage bin and electronics up there? Was the carpet easy to get back on or does it look like it was pulled apart?

That was going to be my next question... a fridge ehy.... hmm that could be handy!!

I'm thinking about putting mat on my roof to try and possibly cut down on the exhaust drone. I wonder what kind of difference it would make.

Try ensulite foam on the floor and roof and doors it should help. I get drone around 60mph but It's not too bad and all the foam really helps to Block outside noise, If I leave even one seat bolt out in the cab the ambient noise is WAY WAY louder so I think it is working. The problem with it is that it gets so quiet in your car you hear ever other creek and squek. Deadening is not really made to block out ambient noise although it does work. It's more made to add mass which in turn will of course block out more noise, but the ensulite (closed cell) foam, well that is what it is designed for and it is very light weight. ideal though would be to add both if you have a system to stop vibration AND block out noise. My Stillen vibrates my roof really bad when I stomp on it @ about 3500 RPM's the drone is nothing compared to the vibration noise.
