Re: advice w subs

that 10w7 would slam. you might have to do a seat lift to fit it under the seat though. i am a fan of jl audio but i am sure all of those subs would do well.

Re: advice w subs

TC1000's fit well down or upfire or TC 10" OEM looks killer Looks like it would **** bigger than a W7 lol at least in a sealed box.

Honestly, IMO TC 1000's will kill W3's in output and SQ as price. I have not heard a side by side of the 10" OEM and W7, but the OEM's I Have are massive...You would need to forward fire either one if you want to keep the seat. Thinking about doing that myself but the TC1000's I have installed are honestly loud enough for me as it is. The OEM is looking lonely without a box on my desk though!

JL's SQL sub is a W6 not W7, although some peopl elike the way the W7 sounds. L7 is SPL.

The m3 would be my pick upfiring in the titan.

This is the most accurate 240 dollar sub you find. Thats no bs. The sound is amazing.

There are things this sub does that 500 dollar subs cant do it. This is not a spl sub. It is pure sq.

BM's look like great subs, but if you want to hit the low notes I have to wonder how the TC1000 compares, more X-max in a sealed box, although X-max isn't everything. They are supposed to be almost the same, but I hear the BM has a little advantage ported supposedly between the TC 1000 and 2000 although less LINEAR X-max so I'm not sure if that holds up sealed, at least on the low notes.... To me having a huge X-max in a sealed box might be nice but only if it is absolutly Linear. Tech when are you going to try a TC sub...?

If I was going to pick something other my my 1000's in downfire I'd probably go for the BM (it's 2x as expensive though). Larger subs just won't fit.

I am imagining the BM as having the accuracy of my Assassin with the output of the TC1000.

the problem with bm ported is that the seat would have to raised because the sub moves alot ported and would no doubt hit the seat

yes life expectancy in a ported box no matter how well built is half of what it would it be in a sealed enclosure

Re: advice w subs

especialy playing notes below the tuned frequency I would not be too worried about lifespan though. If you want Loud then go witht he ported setup when/if it dies in years to come just replace the sub, no big deal, just set your gain and subsonic filter accordingly. I have some JL W0's in a Bandpass box for the longest time like -6 or 7 years even overpower them a bit and they work as good as the day I bought them.

For W0's they still work the same as when I got them lol. You might be surprised at their output in a bandpass, I had neighbors at my Dad's house get mad at me while tuning them saying I was vibrating stuff inside their house with them. Then the new house I am at also asked me to turn them down (course they were having a family meeting or something outside). I have heard louder but for 300 watts it's one of the loudest setups I have heard. Sounds like *** though IMO now that I have sceen the light. Well some songs sound ok

My Favorite SQ Budget woofer is the AA Assassin. W6 is good too but it does not fit downfire in the titan, W7 is right out unless you forward fire... The Assassin has a little less output on the low notes than a W6, The TC 1000 has a little more and still retains good SQ...

Are you willing to lift the seat?

I would slightly disagree there. I have tested out a first generation mag, and one of my buddies tested out a 12" BM. That sub pounded. I would classify it more as a SQL driver, especially since it seemed to like ported enclosures much better.
